Social Justice & Human Concerns Committee
The Human Concerns Committee initiates and promotes current social issues with groups to deal with programs such as Mission Outreach, Southside Meal Program, & Pro-Life efforts. Parishioners are encouraged to address the social welfare of the parish and community groups.
Provide transportation and run small errands for the elderly.
Volunteers directly aid people based on need.
The St. Rita Prayer Chain may be called with prayer intentions to be prayed for daily. All prayer requests are confidential. The facilitator’s name is published weekly in the bulletin.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
This is a parish-based organization, bringing person-to-person service to people in need. They provide the basic necessities, such as food and clothing. This society also visits the sick and hospitalized.
Southside Meal Program
St. Rita volunteers participate in preparing and/or serving a meal for the homeless on the fourth Friday of the month. The meal is served at the St. Vincent de Paul meal site.
